Lamasa art

3/4 cup of white glue
1 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup of water
1 tsp. of ponds cold cream
1 tsp. of glycerin

Mix white glue, water, cold cream and glycerin and cook for few minutes and then slowly add cornstarch and stir continuously until it forms like a ball. Remove it and wrap it with a wet towel and mix it well. The ball will now become smooth and will now be ready as a modeling paste. You can use oil colours for colouring. After preparing the models allow it to dry for 24 hours and later apply varnish over it to preserve it.

How to make your Oil Paintings Better?

Here are few take a ways for oil Paintings….

  1. Select Scenic pictures if you are a learner / Beginners
  2. Slice the picture into smaller grids if it’s a complex one. A bigger is adequate for simple pictures.
  3. For landscapes do not try with Free Hand.
  4. For landscapes pictures draw base color first, dry it and then add details to it.
  5. A color can be highlighted only using its complementary color. So first learn the complementary color wheel.
  6. Use Artist rubber instead of normal ones.
  7. Use Linseed oil to thin the oil colors
  8. Use Turpentine to clean Brushes
  9. Better try with canvas board as it gives richness to the painting
  10. Draw the Horizon level such that both halves are not equal.
  11. Make the colors lighter when going up from the bottom horizon. (The bottom horizon suppose to realize its near you ).
